Meredith and Colby were married in a beautiful February ceremony at their church, Star Baptist Church in Star, Mississippi. They were surrounded by their family and closest friends as they said “I do” and joined together in a heartfelt ceremony that was full of joy, laughter, and so much love.
One of the sweetest moments of the ceremony was the foot washing. It was such a beautiful display of humility and servitude toward one another. Moments like that are always so meaningful to witness because they say so much about the foundation a couple is building their marriage on. Meredith and Colby made it clear that their relationship is rooted in Christ’s love, respect, and a deep care for each other.
These two are so fun together and they truly could not stop giggling and loving on one another all day. It was impossible not to smile right along with them. Meredith looked absolutely stunning, but what stood out the most was the joy she carried throughout the entire day. You could see it in every moment.
After their ceremony we stepped outside for some beautiful golden hour portraits. The soft evening light made for the dreamiest photos and gave Meredith and Colby a quiet moment together before the celebration continued.
The reception was held under twinkling lights inside the Christian Life Center at the church. The space was full of laughter, hugs, and even a couple’s dance as everyone celebrated the newlyweds. There were so many sweet moments throughout the evening, but one of my favorites happened when Meredith chose not to toss her bouquet. Instead, she handed it to her Maid of Honor, Anna. As everyone watched, her Anna turned around to discover that she was actually being proposed to. Meredith had been in on the surprise the whole time, and it was such a special moment for everyone there.
For their exit, Meredith and Colby were wrapped in streamers from head to toe and climbed into a gorgeous antique car. But the fun was not over yet. They came back inside to keep celebrating before ending the night with a private last dance and a small meal shared with some of their closest friends. It was the perfect way to close out such a meaningful day.
Congratulations, Meredith and Colby. I hope you love looking through some of our favorite moments from your day.
