First a little backstory….
I truly believe that each of my couples is perfectly matched to us for a reason and this wedding was no different. Normally I connect with clients through my website, or maybe even instagram… This one was totally different. In a unique twist of events, I had been searching high and low for tickets to take my daughters to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. Well, if you’ve fought that battle, you know it is nearly impossible. I randomly posted in a nationwide group one day that I was a wedding photographer looking to connect with a bride that also was a Taylor fan and do a little bartering. I never thought anything would come of it.
Lo and behold, Holly reached out and boy, am I glad she did! From the very first moment we talked I knew that this girl was my people. We had so much in common, she’s so fun to be around, and I already knew her soon to be in laws through church! What are the chances of meeting your ideal client through a nationwide fan group for a singer?! Our mutual love of Taylor Swift brought us together and I love that her friends referred to me as “the swiftie photographer” all night.
It was literally THE BEST DAY.
When I first connected with Holly & Cody, I knew they were special. Holly’s infectious energy and Cody’s kind demeanor made them a joy to be around. Their love for each other and their loved ones was evident from the start.
Their wedding, held on February 4, 2024, at Bridlewood of Madison Wedding Venue, was nothing short of amazing, and I can’t wait to share some highlights of the day with you! The day was filled with laughter, joy, and heartfelt moments.
The bridal suite was brimming with excitement as Holly and her bridesmaids prepared, while Cody and his groomsmen had their share of fun. Every detail, from Holly’s Taylor Swift references to Cody’s Batman accents, reflected their personalities. The first looks were emotional, and the ceremony, officiated by their friend Molly, was touching. The reception was a blast, with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and lots of dancing. The love and support from their family and friends were palpable throughout the day.
Holly and Cody’s wish for genuine, colorful moments was fulfilled in the photos captured. As they start their journey together, I feel privileged to have been part of their special day. Congratulations, Cody and Holly!
